Recommended 1911 in 9mm

At the moment, leaning towards a Ruger LW full size in 9mm. For under $650, it's a pretty nice gun. Warranty is top notch.
The SR1911 handles and shoots well. my hand was against a tree on the right side target.

I have a full size Colt MK IV made in 1991. Reliability was "pretty good" until fairly recently when Wilson Combat finally got the 9 mm magazines right. Runs like a sewing machine now, zero malfunctions. I would carry it now, whereas before it was purchased simply as a low cost training tool. Along the way, I found that youngsters and women LOVE the full size 1911 in nine. Good sights and trigger, negligible recoil, and inexpensive to run. What is not to love?

Thanks. A good friend of mine that is a gunsmith moved out of town and he gave them to me. I still need to checker them; that is why you see the flaws in the wood. They were sanded and sealed, ready to checker which of course I have not gotten around too. They should really be lookers when I am finally finished with them.

Or 38 Super. Sometimes in .22LR.
But never in 9mm.
I just picked up a TISAS Regulator that comes with 9mm and .38 Super barrels. Ran .38 Super for the first time this week and I really like it. It kind of fills an interesting space between 9mm and .45. The gun is extremely smooth shooting and very accurate even with the tiny 1911A1 sights. I’ve been shooting a 2011 a lot lately and the 1911 feels crazy slim in comparison

Nickel & pearl grips.

That’s what a proper .38 Super 1911 should look like…:D
