SA35 Question

Just picked up a new SA35. Upon closer inspection at home, I noticed each side of the strike face on the hammer have bare metal showing, like burrs. I don't know if this is normal or not for a HiPower as this is my first experience with one. Anyone else have this showing on their hammer?

Thanks in advance.

Pic please? I have a SA-35.

You can see the bright metal look in relation to the bluing on the hammer. Im not too worried about it, I do not think it will have anything to do with function, but they are very sharp! They will require a filing to keep from getting cut or scratched when coming into contact with them.

Wow, never saw that before, mine doesn’t look like that, maybe others who have one may help, almost looks like it hit the slide when hammer falls, but I don’t see in your pics any marks on the slide

My first thought as well, but when I inspected the slide I saw no markings, I tested the hammer to see if it had enough play to be off that much and it is solid all the way from cocked to strike. Almost looks like a tool marking from assembly line. I have the typical front of the rear sight wear from installation as well. QC wasnt very good on this particular gun in my opinion.

I doubt there would send a hammer I had a dust cover on an ar that refused to close... I ask them to just sent one they wouldn't. I won't sent it back for that so I smack it (heavy tap actually) with a plastic hammer lol it will wear in 1 day

Or you could just buy one. They're usually $8-$15.
