Saint Edge Safety Selector

CMW

Alpha
Wondering if anyone has had any issues with their Saint Edge safety selector moving to the safe position regardless of hammer position. Bolt charged, hammer up (12:00) or hammer down, my safety selector will move to safe. I've never had or used a platform that has had this issue or functioned this way. This is a brand new rifle too.

If the bolt is charged, doesn’t the hammer have to be “down” (Cocked)?

That is, after all, one of the points of charging the bolt, besides putting a round in the chamber...

If the bolt isn’t charged it should not be able to go to safe. If the bolt is charged it will.
Or do you mean it’s moving to safe on its own ?

Thanks. I did reach out to customer support considering his new the rifle is. Just sent it in.
Any update on your experience with customer support?

I have a brand new Saint Victor and my safety selector doesn't go straight up to the fire position. It stops approximately 45 degrees away from the straight up position. I'm thinking I need to contact customer support too. The firing range officer today stated that other Springfield Saint's show true north position when safety selector is moved to fire position.

Disregard.

Spoke to customer support; it is normal for my model to stop 45 degrees away from straight up.
