Kimber Rapide 10mm

My second 80% build, well I really did them at the same time, completing this one just a couple days after the first...
I call it my Warhawk 1911A2.... ....The frame is an 80% rock island double stack frame, that they call a 1911A2...

The laser engraving on the slide came out really good on this one, it is suppose look weathered and pock marked, it looks better IRL than in the photo...

Mixture of both .45 & 10mm. Top row all Springfield Armory, 2nd row all Colt and bottom row Kimber & Ruger. Last column of each row are the 10mm, the Colt in 1st column is a 1918 "Black Army" (goes nice with the 1942 P08 Mauser "Black Widow" Luger (not shown), that I own.

Shame on you! This picture is encouraging me to violate the 10th commandment! (You shall not covet...for all you pagans)

Hi everyone, first time on this forum and this was the first thread I clicked on.

So for my first post I wanted to share my two 1911s. The officer's model was my first pistol I bought when I turned 21 back in the '90s. It started life as a bare bones lightweight model which had many mods added over the years.

My newer model was bought two decades later and being a TRP, it came with lots of goodies from the factory with only the tool-less guiderod and a light added.

Will be looking forward to lots of reading and learning from folks on this site 🍻

Of the several 1911’s I have the Para Ordinance P14, in .45ACP. has often been an EDC since I got it. Eats anything it’s served however I prefer a 185gr JHP or Barns solid copper.
A recent add was the RIA Tac, 10mm single stack. Still breaking it in but like what l’m finding so far! I think it will turn into a fine backup after another 500 round or so. Broke it down, stoned an polished all the metal wear surfaces. Sent it to be cryotempered. RIA does a very nice job of finishing there products but a bit of time an care does wonders for any new platform.
