Great looking pistol, you will love it, congrats!Just picked up today.
My first 45, so some would say it's my first 'real' 1911.

After I handled it a whole bunch of 1911's with and without it, the front checkering was a must have for me.I hope it operates as good as it looks!
Love any front strap checkering...wish it was available from SA (or anyone) for less than one's first-born (sarcasm intended...a bit).
I slapped an ugly Talon Grip sticker on my Ronin. Don't care how it looks, it improved the grip tremendously. Machined- checkered front straps just look SO good...After I handled it a whole bunch of 1911's with and without it, the front checkering was a must have for me.
They really do and were totally worth the extra price. The Colt came with more nice to have extras too so the extra cost hurt much lessI slapped an ugly Talon Grip sticker on my Ronin. Don't care how it looks, it improved the grip tremendously. Machined- checkered front straps just look SO good...
What are these all metal guns you guys speak of?
That is a serious fighting pistol right thereMy Sig 1911 has the checkered front strap, heck of a lot easier to hold onto

My favorite is the middle left with the Delta emblem and picatinny railView attachment 97
Mixture of both .45 & 10mm. Top row all Springfield Armory, 2nd row all Colt and bottom row Kimber & Ruger. Last column of each row are the 10mm, the Colt in 1st column is a 1918 "Black Army" (goes nice with the 1942 P08 Mauser "Black Widow" Luger (not shown), that I own.
Thanks. The middle row are all Colts. Left to right 1918 “Black Army “ (due to the finish on some made in 1918 turning black), Gold Cup 45, and Delta Elite 10mm. I’ve added more 1911s since this post. Some under this thread and several in other threadsMy favorite is the middle left with the Delta emblem and picatinny rail
