Smith & Wesson’s Contribution to Everyday Carry (EDC) - The Shooter's Log
Smith & Wesson makes some of the finest, most reliable handguns on the market, especially when it comes to everday carry, or EDC pistols.

What holster are you carrying it in ?I just acquired an M&P9 about a month ago, and swapped out the medium sized backstrap for a small. Fits my hand much better. I love the heft and the feel, but I wish I was a little bigger so I could carry it. No matter how I try, it looks I have a baby's foot poking at my shirt. My Shield EZ conceals much better. I guess I need to bulk up on carbs or something...![]()
Did you get the m&p with the flat face trigger? That is pretty nice.I just acquired an M&P9 about a month ago, and swapped out the medium sized backstrap for a small. Fits my hand much better. I tried a Tulster IWB. Comfortable but heavy. I just got a OWB paddle and haven't tried it yet, (I don't have a life, but I'm working on it). I would definitely carry it out in the bush. Critters don't care if you print. What holster are you carrying it in ?
It's an older model. I think that flat faced trigger is on the new ones, right?Did you get the m&p with the flat face trigger? That is pretty nice.
There's a big difference between OWB holsters as far as printing goes. Two that I like, which keep the gun close to the body and minimize printing very well are Muddy River Tactical and the Clinger "No Print Wonder". I think they have changed the name of the Clinger holster, but it's still available last I checked. I am able to conceal 4" full size .45s and 9MMs easily with these two holsters. I'm probably bigger than you, but probably not by much. I'm 5'10" and 165 Lbs.I tried a Tulster IWB. Comfortable but heavy. Thank you for the heads up on that! I will check them out. I hate not carrying a gun that feels so good in my hand just because I am awkward with it..There's a big difference between OWB holsters as far as printing goes. Muddy River Tactical is great. I turned a lot of guys here on to them. Kevin is a great guy to deal with, the holsters are $60, the extra mag holsters are pretty cheap and if you put in the notes you want a double mag holster he'll build it for you, same price. And if you have any questions you can call him on his cell. And he will answer.Thank you for the heads up on that! I will check them out. Yes. Flat faced triggers came with the newer optic ready ones. Mine is a couple years old and came with the hinged trigger, which i swapped out for an apex trigger. Made a big difference for me.It's an older model. I think that flat faced trigger is on the new ones, right?
