The TX22 is a brilliant addition to the lineup, a .22 pistol that looks, feels, and operates like its 9mm cousins.

I love my TX22 . I have a number of the Tandemkross plus 5 magazine extensions on 6 magazines and recently purchased the Tarus mag pouch with 6 more magazines. Making a really fun gun more fun except for the extra time it takes to load. It is extremely lightweight to carry on early morning walks even when it is loaded with 22 rounds of either CCI Stingers of Federal Punch. One of the main reasons I selected the TX22 was that it held 15 rounds instead of the more common 10 for most 22lr pistols. Im interested in the new Sig P322 that holds 20 rounds but the extra magazines are hard if not impossible to find.

Just me I suppose but I never got the draw of a .22 pistol. I have a couple rifles, which are fun.
My 22 pistols are my favorites. I have a GSG 1911 -22 and a Heritage Rough Rider. At least one goes on every range trip, usually both. With that being said, I do 99% of my shooting an in indoor range. 50 feet, limited to 1500 FPS, pretty much handguns.

I have thought of getting a TX 22, especially the competition model, as I shoot practical pistol in teh 22 division witmh y 1911. Would be nice to have the Taurus

Locally here $269 base with 2, 16 rnd mags, loading tool & coupon card 10.00 off carbon fiber holster, 30.00 off lazer site ect. You'll wish you bought one sooner.
My son has shown interest in them, and dam they look fun.

Wife wants an MP 15 22 lr, which looks like a lot of fun as well. But it’s the Robins egg version. Ugly gun and cost almost $100 more.

With me, sitting here with a HK 416 ( inherited) that I never used by both of them swear they want to take it to the range. Lost on that one 😂

I see the TX 22 from the price you quoted up to 559 depending on the version. Not sure what the big difference is between the price points.

Actual HK416 ( 5.56) or the Umarex .22LR ?

There is a competition model tx22 that is the higher price point

I’ve got the TX-22 Competition as well as the standard TX22. I have 6000+ rds through the Competition and it’s an absolute blast. I picked it up when it first came out for $449. They have steadily gone up since. I’ve also got he Sig P322. It’s a very good pistol and goes blow for blow with the TX22 Competition but feels very plasticky by comparison. Shame everything that Taurus produces is not as good as the TX22.

My wife and I each own a TX22. It is definitely one of the best plinkers on the market. I would recommend that high-volume shooters purchase the Lakeline Stainless Steel Recoil Assembly. Lakeline makes quality products, and the recoil assembly can be purchased for $32.99 on the Taurus website (even less during frequent sales).

I recommend replacing the recoil spring assembly because my TX22 slide cracked after about 2,000 rounds. Taurus replaced the slide under warranty, but I had to pay shipping and wait 6 weeks for the repair. The return shipping cost almost as much as the Lakeline assembly, which would most likely have prevented the damage in the first place.
