The Air Force Needs Fewer Leaders and More Wrench-Turners… Here’s How to Get Them

This all started back in the late 50's & into the 60's when kids were pushed hard to go to college. This lead to a shortage of skilled labor. Today mechanics, carpenters, plumbers, etc are making a good living while young people with college degrees are flipping burgers.
I spent 42 years as a heavy truck and equipment mechanic. Yeah, it was hard, dirty work, but I made a decent living at it and am now comfortably retired.
The future belongs to those who are willing to get their hands dirty.

But as it pertains to the military should we the tax payers pay to have individuals change their sex? Should these people even be in the military? How does this pertain to good order and discipline? I hate to say it but being WOKE has ruined the military in my opinion, I could be wrong but don't think so. You just can't please everyone nor should you. If I am wrong please explain it to me.

But now the question is what to do with the individuals now in and the leaders that supported this cluster.
Simple -- DJT will, on day #1 sign his name to a document removing the mentally unstable. Yes, that includes the he/she with a dress on. No service is currently meeting its quota because (in my opinion only) folks don't want to share a "foxhole". Once done, I'm certain first enlistments will rise.

Road therapy. The military has done it before. again I know some vets that they couldn't justify RIFing them so the transferred them from duty station to duty station in quick secession. In one instance I am aware of the army transferred a service member three time, before his furniture finally caught up with him and his family. He didn't re-up, 16years down the drain. Gee thanks :poop: bags.

Reminds me of the quote: "Can't everybody be a hero -- there needs to be someone on the sidewalk cheering as they pass".
Suicide in the Trenches
Siegfried Sassoon (8 September 1886 – 1 September 1967) CBE, MC, Victoria Cross.
...(last stanza)
You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when soldier lads march by,
Sneak home and pray you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.

Sorry. That just sticks a cold knife in my soul and had to share.

I have talked to a few young men who decided against military service in the past few years because of the woke madness. I am convinced that is why they are struggling to meet recruiting goals. Many parents who served have advised their kids to not go in because of the craziness. A similar dynamic in policing. I am interested to see how quickly the trend reverses under Trump. I do feel a wave of patriotism rising

My cousin was a major in the Air Force and 15yrs ago. He was retired out because he couldn't move up, too many of the next two ranks up and no where for him to go in rank. The Air Force made him retire.
I thought he was full of horsehockey, he said in 20 yrs they will be hurting because all the good ones will be gone and all the folks that should be replaced will still be there.
Looks like he called it
Up or out has been a bane on the Army since post VN. Soldiers and leaders who have wanted do their job and get good at it without the "looking for the next promotion" outside of their field has led to more exits from the service than I can count.

Except for the last 2 years of my military service I really enjoyed both the Army and the Air Force. I went to interesting places and met some of the best people in the world. I would have never experienced that in the civilian work place. Also, you really get to appreciate the United States especially if you go overseas.
