But something to remember, a lot of us old geezers bought those antique viet nam era rifles before all this new stuff was even thought about.

So do i, i prefer the new furniture. but in a total of 30 minutes that colt could have all new furniture like the newer ones. A2 sight would be the only drawback. That Carbine i posted has none of the original stuff on it. i still have the original stocks and could put it back in no time. the only thing that can't be changed is the A2 sight and carry handle. but if you ain't wanting an optic then those sights are just as good as those high dollar magpul sights. and for me, i don't want an electronic sight on a rifle to use for the apocalypse.
