Had a little scare about 3:AM this morning was awakened by a loud noise. Fumbled around getting my Sig 229 off my nightstand. Don't know how long it took to collect my thoughts, probably too long. Had a hard time finding the bedroom door as I didn't want to give my position away by using the weapon mounted light. Walked down the hallway toward my living room activated the light started a search. Looked around my living room and found my Beagle standing near a plant stand she had knocked over. Boy was I relieved. I practiced such an event happening but with no stress. This was an eye opening event. I've decided to go with a hand held light and changing from the Sig to a S&W 1911PD 45acp.
