Think I am catching it…….

I assume you mean the P30 ? The Q5 has a better trigger than the VP9, which is to say probably the best striker trigger in existence. With the P30 and most other steel/hammered HKs, the first thing that needs to be done is the trigger. Then you can take it to the range and start having fun with it. :)
My SK is a V1. I read about the trigger going in and I’m determined to try and work with it before I mod it. My Q5 SF has an Overwatch trigger in it, which is like an on/off switch in comparison. Almost no play in it.

Before I even take possession of my P30L ( which will happen) I will already have talked to Grayguns or Midwest about sending it to them.

I hear good things about the Overwatch. My Q5 is not a SF. I probably should have just spent twice as much and gotten the SF though. Although I can't find anything wrong with mine and I got it for just under $700 so I have no regrets. Trigger is way good enough for me. Slight takeup, nice light, crisp break, very short reset.

If I were in the market for another compact it would definitely be in the running. It really is too small for my tastes though.
This is definitely going to be a work-in-progress. Everything I shoot is in the 5 inch barrel neighborhood and have flat triggers. The first 5 shots from the SK I thought my eyes were going because none of them hit the 4 in target I was using! Got back out yesterday and did better, but still a lot low and left. I’ve got some work to do. I’ve already read up on the the short reset kit for it.

I picked up a P30L 9mm last week after shooting my niece's new one the week before. I had ordered the Grayguns short reset kit for her's and mine. The parts came in before my pistol and I installed the parts in her pistol. It made a world of difference in the reset. The reset was about 1/3 of what it originally was. Mine came in last Wednesday and I was able to shoot it at the gun shop's range that afternoon. I put about 200 rounds through it without a hitch. It was shooting slightly right but no issues.

I doubt I will ever carry the P30L, it definitely is not for CCW. If I was still working I would consider it for a duty weapon. My last duty pistol was an HK USP 40 S&W. For CCW I currently carry a Sig P365, I had a Hellcat for a while but prefer the P365. I gave the Hellcat to my brother last year and he carries it.

Did you keep that horrible hook of a trigger or swap it out ?

Speaking of small, I originally had the hellcat. Just couldn't warm up to the Glocksafe trigger. I really wanted to. I've since traded out to a P365 and couldn't be happier. Nothing against the hellcat, just couldn't make it "mine"

On the P30L I kept the curved trigger. I guess I'm used to a curved trigger but I didn't like the long reset. I'm used to shooting 1911's so I'm spoiled when it comes to a short reset. I had the same issue with the HK VP9, I swapped the factory trigger for a Lobos.

On the P365 I have the flat trigger and don't mind it. I have been very happy with the P365 and haven't done any changes to the pistol.

The curve on a 1911 trigger is non- existent compared to that crazy hooked HK trigger. Which the VP9 doesn't have. The VP9 doesn't have a long reset to me, but I haven't swapped any triggers out of any striker guns I own so what I am comparing it to and what you are comparing it to are probably 2 completely different things.

Yup, Nice get Anni. I got the X-Five Legion and P226 Legion (besides many many other Sigs, both rifles, PCCs/PDWs, and pistols). I have all calibers of the P320 except the X-Ten 10mm (which will be my next order). Sign up to get your free coin & bag, and be first in line with SIG Day invite (Next one is in New Hampshire. We can all stay at @10mmLife 's abode ;))

You got it bad! I can’t tell you how much I love the X5 Legion! You can be having the worst day at the range, break out the Legion and all of a sudden you don’t suck anymore! I got my X5L about 4 months after I started shooting and it opened my eyes because it was so easy to shoot ridiculously accurately, and then I put a red dot on it. There was no going back after that. Me and @KillerFord1977 might have to load the frunk of the Porsche up with all our Sigs and make a road trip.
