Well I've done some changes/upgrades/improvements. Replaced the floppy factory trigger (5.5# pull) with a RPP trigger (2.5# average). Next changed the lever screw and the buttstock screw also for a no tool removal. Added leather (sling, buttstock cover/spare ammo and loop covering). Fore cover/handguard. Last I changed the loadgate for an easier/softer load. Leather from D4 Guns and Original Power. With leather stretching I tighten and leave it a few days then go back for a final run.

Speaking of lever guns. There's a NIB Marlin Model 1895C 45-70 on an auction site ( not a gun auction site, just an auction site). Current bid, $800.

So glad I picked up my Marlin 1895 for $450. Such an amazing gun!
