Used gun day

Oh yeah, i will shoot it first and make sure sights are on. i got about a hundred rounds just waiting on it. i gave 500 bucks for it. hope i didn't buy someone elses problem. lol
No problems with this shotgun are difficult or particularly expensive to remedy. Parts are pretty cheap and the issue with the early ones was mostly a matter of surfaces of some parts needing smoothing. Those parts break in with shooting, but they can be helped along with a file. The later generations were a little more refined.
McCarbo makes a lot of cool aftermarket parts for them.

There is a couple things i seen for it i may get later. gonna make sure it works first. lol that light lazer foregrip combo came with it. i don't like the looks of it but that light is brighter than i thought.
I'm not sure about the KSG, but my KSG25 came from the factory with Magpul flip ups and Magpul RVG, which I like a whole lot better than the vertical grip on yours.

I think one of the big advantages to the KSG is it's small size and ease of maneuverability. As such I might be tempted to put a much smaller, lighter red dot on it. Like one for a pistol. Burris Fastfire or something. Keep it light. Maybe ditch the vertical grip altogether or put a Magpul angled grip. Keep it light and without a bunch of crap sticking off it.

I tried a dot on it while ago and it sit too low, i had to put the extesion on too see it. it looked kinda goofy sittin up high so i took it off.

Another fine option if it's going to primarily be a bedside gun is a Viridian HS-1. I have one of these on an AR pistol and I like it a lot.

By the way, these are 30% off right now and come with a pic rail mount.

You might get one of the thicker recoil pad assemblies for it. When I zero'ed mine I used slugs and it took 11 of them. After about 6 I didn't really want to shoot any more. It will punish you with heavy loads, as most pumps will.
I heard that! Before I went to Booya Sam's LFI-II in 1989, I put rifle sights on my Mossberg 500 and set out to "zero" it from the bench with rifled slugs. By about round 5 or 6, I was starting to cry a little with every shot. The crummy rifle sights loosened up with every shot, and I stripped the threads trying to tighten them up. My entire shoulder was bruised/discolored for a week after.

When I actually attended the class, I learned that NONE of that was necessary. I learned how to shoot the gorram shotgun with hardly any recoil effects at all, and had NO pain, bruising, or discomfort in my shoulder. AND I found I could put five rifled slugs in a group the size of my hand at 50 yards with just the front bead! Between the class tuition, travel expenses, ammo, hotel, and food, I had a bit over a grand in that class (1989 dollars), and it was among the best money I ever spent! ;)

I want to know more about the 300wm? Search came up with nothing on the brand mentioned. + there's no way to fit a 300wm into an AR10 platform (300wm is ~ 1/2" longer). The trim length (2.610") is near 308win length (2.800").

I don't have a KSG but i do have its little brother the KS7. I've polished all of the contact points in the action and it is much smoother especially the last 1/2 inch of travel. Its not as smooth as my mid 1960's model 37 but that shotgun has had many thousands of rounds through it. the biggest gripe for me is if you are going to shoot this gun a lot being only 6lbs it will beat you up even with the enhanced recoil pad. mine will hold 7 2 3/4 in the mag
