&*#@*!!%&@@ WALMART...!!

Old_Me

SAINT
so here's the deal

i wake up at like 4AM every stinking day (i dunno why)

by the time i make us breakfast, and do the usual "bathroom duties" (several of them), it's like now 5:30.

so off i go to the local CVS to get our newspaper, and maybe pick up meds, or just talk with either pharmacist or cashier that i have known for years.

then most days mind you not once a week or once a month, i head to walmart, as i shop for various family, and yes, they give me a list, and money to shop for them.

ok, many mornings i get there just a wee bit past 6AM, when they open.

today, i was running late, and i got there just before 8AM, and by the time i get to the cash registers, it is now 8:05....

WHERE DA HELL ARE THE CASHIERS..???

bad enough at 6 AM, they ain't there, and we all have to use self check outs..

BUT AT 8 AM...???

so, i get home and email them a scathing letter on the incompetent jackass (i used stronger words all the way thru) that they have in charge of the monkeys...

in fact, i serious DO believe, monkeys can do a better job of running that store.

(so my apologies for offending monkeys)

what a bunch of UNBELIEVABLE BS at that store.....

i should have copied the email, but it was on thier website, not my personal email.

they will get back to me, they always do....

did you get that..??

THEY ALWAYS DO........

in about 2 weeks time......i guess customer service at corporate sucks too..????

Did you have trouble using the self checkout? Did someone assist you with your purchase?
i always have a problem with the self checkout.

when i shop and spend my money, i EXPECT service, for the prices i pay

then too, a few times something does not scan.

the "helper" is always busy helping someone.

when i am there, i never witness any smooth checking out.

there have been several news reports (on the major networks) of people getting charged with shoplifting, due to something not getting scanned when they clearly scan the item.

it's all BS.....we shop, we expect a real person cashing us out. at least the many in line, pissed off waiting say so.

It's economics that you should be angry with. Walmart doesn't have to pay for cashiers. Employees are demanding higher wages and more benefits. In order to keep making money they have to adjust. Fewer cashiers is the solution.

Also consider the time of day and day of the week. Most folks are at work and there isn't as much demand during the early day hours as the evenings.

You've hit upon on of my pet peeves. Wal-Mart, Kroger or just about any big store. What's the point of having 15 registers when there's only one, maybe two cashiers? It takes longer to check out than it does to shop the entire store! 🤬
In the next day or two, I'll go do my grocery shopping for the month. I just take one day and buy for the whole month. That's so I don't have to deal with this BS again. I go to Sam's for bulk stuff and then to Kroger for most of my regular groceries. I might spend an hour shopping. But then when I'm ready to leave, there's only one or two registers open and the line runs all the way to the back of the store! 🤬
BTW: I usually pay by check. So no self-check outs for me. Besides, it pisses me off to have to do their job for them. :poop:

me to
our local grocery installed 5 self check out lanes
i refuse to use them unless i get a 5% discount since no check out lady and no bagger
i will wait in line with my 5 items to not use the self check out
i do occasionally will walk up to one and say out loud ALEXA ring up my groceries , which promptly brings a check out lady to ring up my stuff:love::love:

The wally worlds here took out all the cahier positions a while back, everything was self checkout. they even remodeled all of them to do it.

Guess they caught a lot of flack over it cause it wasn't a couple months and they had put back in the cahiers. still more self checkout slots but they opened up a few cashiers.

Here is a problem with my two fixes for leaving Wally World with a 10 roll package of paper towels:

1 -- Rolling toward the exit, the old retiree says, "receipt"? I reply, "yes I do, thanks". Then keep walking.
2 -- Stopped by the old retiree who asks for the receipt. They say, "if it's not in a bag, I have to check the receipt". I ask them politely to escort me back to self-checkout and SHOW ME THE WALLMART BAGS THIS PACKAGE WILL FIT IN". Then walk out the door.

I’m a vendor to Kroger in my area.
The store mgrs have told us they cant get or keep people to work. Even with competitive and/or top pay for hourly wages. Folks dont apply and those that do, usually quit because its “too much work” .
Some days their staff on hand is at only 50-60%

I refuse to use self check outs!! If they want to offer me a discount for checking myself out , I might do so . Till they do offer a discount I will continue going through a regular check out. Should my local store close down all the regular check outs , they will find a cart with lots of items in it.
