I assume if I take my new Saint Victor and get the handguard and upper cerakoated it will void my warranty?
Let us know what they say!Ok thanks I will
Do just that.
No worries; I’m just part of the “f around and find out” mindset…rather see for myself.Well new to the AR world and I was just sitting around, but knowing the Springfield Armory CS was closed just thought I'd ask the question. Certainly not trying to upset anyone.
Particularly with an AR. Outside of stuff you would notice right away, like fit and finish sort of stuff or not running right out of the gate, there's literally nothing that could manifest itself later that you couldn't fix quickly and relatively inexpensively.Honestly, I fail to understand why people think the warranty is a big deal.
Unless the gun has issues right out of the gate, it’s likely not going to. So, if it’s running good—have at it. Mod away.
A little spray paint (or whatever) isn’t going to affect anything, and the only warranty impact it would have is if you tried to claim there were problems with the finish.
Just don’t get people’s reluctance to find out for themselves…

It’s what just ran out on your Porsche so be prepared to get emails and phone calls about an extended warranty. What’s a warranty?
So funny story, when I bought the Porsche they offered me an extended warranty. It was going to cost $15k on top of the car. I don’t know how the guy kept a straight face. Needless to say I am way ahead of that despite some large repair bills. It’s what just ran out on your Porsche so be prepared to get emails and phone calls about an extended warranty.
