A tale of two watches. This beautiful Bulova watch was given to me a number of years ago by my daughter. I wear it on "dressed up" occasions and when visiting my daughter. :D The cost was more than a couple of hundred dollars.

This is my everyday watch. It's a no name watch with a fake chronograph, the dials are just for looks. It doesn't show day or date, but I'm retired so day and date are a moot point with me. I paid a whopping $9.95 at Walmart for it. Both watches keep excellent time.

I can't say enough good things about Marathon - excellent watches. My TSAR is the 41mm version and I have an average size wrist. They also have options in 36mm and 46m but I find the 41mm to be perfect.
 
I have about 30 nice watches in my collection, some inherited from my Dad and some from my father-in-law, who repped several major brands. The ones I wear most often are the original Timex Ironman and a stainless steel Accutron with a stainless steel band and my name engraved on the clasp that I received as a gift from my parents on my 16th birthday, tuning fork still humming 58 years later. I still wear the others occasionally when attire dictates, and pretty much all of them, some battery and some wind-up, are worn several times a year. They take up a good bit of room in my gun safe but, will all have good homes with family members who don't know they're getting them, but have admired them over the years, when I pass.

Thanks, yeah I really like that Prospex. It's a special edition, and not a common model that you see very often.

That was a gift many years ago, and I honestly didn't wear it much for a long time. It just wasn't a period in my life where a watch like that fit with a lot of what I was doing. But last year I decided to get it serviced and have been wearing it a fair bit lately. It wears like a smaller, lighter watch than it actually is and just feels so solid.
 
My Father gave me this a few years ago (10-15?)...he wore it much of his adult life...it's a Bulova with a cheap band...anyone know anything about it? Value, rarity, etc?

Its blury but if its not original it might be an old Speidel band, not 100 percent sure , far from an expert. Can you twist it all around and basically tie it into a knot? If so it probably is a Speidel Twist o Flex.

A bit blury for me but the Watch looks like a Skeleton face Accutron Spaceview Tuning fork movement. If so, not an expert, I think they are fetching good prices.
