we just had our 2 sons over here, to move out a piece of heavy furniture. we had a "lottery" of sorts, to give away some of our furniture to our kids, and only if they wanted it....this way, if we put that into our Wills, there could be hard feelings as to who gets what...
yeah, i know, "let'em fight to the death at the reading of the Wills in the lawyers office"....
nah, they are all good kids they were always good kids, and they help us more than i ever say here.
so we had this sorta "Lottery" like i said where we told them what we are getting rid of, and give them a chance to select a chance to "win" it thru a lottery.
tickets were only $1,000 each...............ok......not....dammit, another 1911 i cannot have now.
my #2 son and his wife "won" my wifes mahogany cedar chest.
no, we are not dying, and we are not moving
just best to "divy up" stuff now, this way no hard feelings.
in another month (maybe), a sterling silver dinnerware set.........no fancy box, we don't know what happened to it, all the pieces are in Thom McAn shoe boxes......
this time, i wanna charge'em at least that $1,000 per ticket.........
daddy WANTS a new 1911......
