Well the parts were delayed due to weather so now the fridge repair guys are coming Wednesday. Hopefully. It will reach 60 today. The snow is almost gone and will reach 60 today. Going to unplug the heat lamps in the pump houses and get back to my cabinet project in the shop. The refrigerator repair guys should be here about 10 to get the fridge going and return the kitchen to normal.
Question: doesn't BCBS and others you get overload of mail from have an option to go paperless?had to take like a nearly 3 hour break from the 'puter..
its that time of year, when the wife and i go on a "paper shredding frenzy", and shred nearly all of the last years BS paperwork.
each month, we both get from Blue cross, a statement, that clearly says inside.."this is not a bill"
when i get mine.>?? i shred it..
when the wife gets hers..??? she puts it in the shoebox, in the "Bills" drawer..."just in case"
"just in case of what" i ask..and continue with, "in case there is a fire, so it'll feed the flames"?
i get the stink eye...each and every time i say that.....
then of course, the monthly checking and savings account statements, then the gas, electric bills get shredded as well.
every year, we shred so much in a few hours, to fill up a 55 gallon garbage bag
still got more shredding to do, maybe sunday now, its lunch time, then nap time, then dinner time, then early evening nap time, then tv, then bed...
afterall, all that shredding tires a man out,.
the wife and i are different in that we want paper....otherwise, i'll get spammed with emails....and it has happened in the past.Question: doesn't BCBS and others you get overload of mail from have an option to go paperless?
I got all mine listed as paperless which cuts down 95% of all their mailings.
Now if only I could stop all the rest of junk mail but USPS gets paid for that so they will not stop delivering me that crap.
There might be one or two times in a year where I might have to mail something off in a letter. That's when the wife and I have to hunt around the house to find out where we left stamps. Sometimes we have to buy more stamps because we can't find where we left the last book of stamps. Kind of like checks. I might only have to write one a year. I'm no fan of having to deal with check writing or snail mail.the wife and i are different in that we want paper....otherwise, i'll get spammed with emails....and it has happened in the past.
we pay "some" of our bills online for sure, but others we snail mail.
