Got up later this morning. I must have been really tired. Had my first cup of coffee with breakfast. Husky is still sleeping but must be having a good dream. Last day of work and hopefully can get to gravel pit tomorrow as it's the only day I can go now. It will be in the lower 50's today and maybe I can sell another car today, we'll see. Hope everyone enjoys their saturday.

Enjoying a cup of coffee. I'll head out to the gun show a little later this morning. Just window shopping, not looking for anything in particular. Tomorrow the wife and I are going out to my mother-in-law's place. Going to dial in the Ruger .45 LC Carbine some more. Then try out my new Smith & Wesson .357 J-frame.
 
wife is out with our daughter, doing grocery shopping..i have to put tarps on both cars, as it is going to snow, sleet, and freezing rain tonight (starting around 6PM), then do that crap well after 9 AM tomorrow, then change over to all rain....oh joy, that damned oversized PA rodent........

no grandkids over, we don't want'em here, in case of a power outage, then there will be no heat. (just a precautionary decision)

not only that, but wife will bake some brownies, and THIS TIME, i ain't sharing them...!!!!!!!
 
I have been up for a couple of hours now, just finished the second coffee and clearing out junk email. Made a purchase on 5.11 Tactical's website and just got off the phone with the husband. Boiler is chugging just fine so he's on his way home. It's -7 with a -25 windchill so I don't anticipate leaving the house. Yesterday was my out day, as Saturdays are so "peopley". I have guns to clean and laundry to do anyway, and maybe I'll slay a few demons on Diablo IV this afternoon 🙂.

If you haven’t, you should check out Severance. I was skeptical at first but it’s good.

any of you ever hear your kids say...."nothing"....??

when they break a window, or smash a lamp, and you yell out...WHAT THE "F" ARE YOU KIDS DOING"...??

and one of them, answer back......"Nothing"......

i was reading the threads, and wife called me from the the daughters car asked me....."honey, what are you doing"...??

and like a dumbass, i said......."nothing"....

she said..."oh good, you know that portable counter/table in the pantry"?

"ah...yea...."?

"would you pull it out, clean the floor, and wash the floor"?

i felt like saying....."you pick the most inopportune times, to have me do some stupid shite"

what i really said was..."yes dear"......

good thing, years ago, i put casters on a piece of plywood, and my boys set that table/counter on top of it.



i dread her coming home now............God only knows what more "stupid shite" she has to get done TODAY

i feel incredible knee pain coming on............

You need to put yer foot down Old Man. Tell her to shut up and go make you a sandwich.
 
Just got back from the gun show. The place was packed, it was a mad house! Only came home with a couple of stickers and a couple of metal retro signs to hang up on my collection on the backyard patio. Saw some good deals on some firearms, but my wife would have killed me if I came home with another gun this soon. And I have plenty of ammo. I literally had to park a 1/4 mile away from the entrance. The walk in killed my other bad knee. The new knee held up pretty good. I couldn't even find a handicapped spot to park in (I do have disabled vet plates and a handicapped placard, but I really feel guilty using them sometimes.). On the way out, the gun show had people using UTVs to shuttle people back to their vehicles. I jumped at the chance when they asked if I wanted a ride. The guy probably saw me limping a mile away and felt sorry for me. Time to pop a pain pill and wash it down with a couple of beers.

Actually no. My kitchen table is small and round. I have a sturdy fold out table that is about 4’x4’ and sits perfectly in front of the sectional in the living room. It is the perfect height for working on guns. If I had a wife I would never get away with it, but seeing as how I am the wife, I can get away with it. 😉
