What are you doing right now??

Been on the phone all morning with the bank. I have been receiving snail mail letters that seem very authentic, about not being able to reach me by email so I contacted them this morning. Turns out they never sent any documents to me...both the banking and credit card departments verified this. So I have sent them screenshots of the letters and they are opening an investigation as to where they came from. I can't for the life of me figure out what they were hoping to get from me. They weren't asking me for any bank/card numbers (they did have the last four digits of the credit card number though), and they didn't ask for my social - they didn't even supply a phone number for me to contact. Anyway, the ball is in their fraud department's court now. :cautious:

Now I have to feed myself as the coffee is starting to give me the jitters. It's cloudy this morning, so it warmed up a bit. It was 0 at 7AM when I got up and right now it's a balmy 7 degrees with a -9 windchill...significantly warmer than it has been the past few days. I have to load up some magazines for the FNX and the PDP for my range visit. I'm going to bring my little Israeli friend also (haven't fired her in too long) and the VP9.

The husband has to stay in Grand Forks until tomorrow because it has been so cold they need to keep the boiler running, so they need an operator there to check on it periodically. He'll be home tomorrow afternoon sometime, and then back up there Sunday afternoon. So I am taking the opportunity to stop off at my favorite Mexican place to pick up their Ultimate Quesadilla for supper tonight. That feeds me for two meals (Friday and Sunday:giggle:) and they warm up perfectly in the air frier.
Well, I had better get moving instead of blabbing on here...I'm starving.

i think just like a email spamming or phishing phone call, all they need for you is to verify what they have on you now.

its like that mass emailing of the person(s) that can see what "dirty deeds" we are doing in our homes

let the bank handle it, they may send you a new credit card in place of your original with new numbers, and they may send you a new ATM card as well..

what you can do too is, make 1 call or 1 email to ANY credit reporting company like Experian, Trans Union, Equifax and put a "Fraud Alert" on your credit..whomever you contact, automatically notifies the other credit bureaus

we live in a world of constant battles with ID theft, and fraud

I just learned of (and sent props to) guitarist Brian Setzer's unfortunate medical situation. Brian can no longer play (at all), due to autoimmune disease. Sad development at sixty-five years old for a tireless performer, and all-around nice fella.

Sad. A friend of mine grew up with Brian. His older brother and Brian were best friends and he took guitar lessons from him. From the stories he tells Brian is a really good guy.

Got up later this morning. I must have been really tired. Had my first cup of coffee with breakfast. Husky is still sleeping but must be having a good dream. Last day of work and hopefully can get to gravel pit tomorrow as it's the only day I can go now. It will be in the lower 50's today and maybe I can sell another car today, we'll see. Hope everyone enjoys their saturday.
