Know what ya mean. About a year ago purchased a Samsung 85" TV, A/V receiver, speakers for home theater setup. Best Buy Geek Squad set it up for me. Three weeks ago the receiver went out have been waiting for Geeks to fix or replace the receiver. So far they have cancelled/re-scheduled three appointments. Supposedly will come Friday, we'll see, frustrating.
Hope you have better luck then we did when our Toshiba tv went out last year, bought it at Best Buy also, got the extended warranty too, they wouldn’t come to fix it unless I payed $185.00 dollars for a diagnostic fee even though I had the extended warranty which costs almost half of what the tv cost, told them to forget it, threw it in dumpster and got another tv at Sam’s club, we don’t buy nothing no more at Best Buy, total scam business, hope all works out for you.
i used to buy "top line" tv's, since i was working, and earning much more than being on SS these days..
there is a tv store, in my area, that sells, new-in-box tv's for cut rate prices over Best Buy, Sears (when they were in business) and independant name brand tv stores...
i should point out though, most are last years over-stocked models, new-in-box......he buys them by the truckloads
i bought a samsung 40" HDTV about 5 years ago, and the prices was just under $300...then i spun a wheel, and got a 20" HDTV for the kitchen, for free....
todays appliance's are " built to self destruct" or "planned obsolesce" in short time.....i had a relative that was an actual tv/radio repair man....not only vacuum tube but transistors on replaceable circuit boards.
he "saw" the future of his job fading away, and even said back about 50 years ago, "you ain't gonna get a repairman anymore....
i could care less that i buy "last years model"........
i take it home, take it out of the box, set it up, turn it on...............then take a nap.
perfect life.
