What are you doing right now??

Went into Fargo to drop the tax stuff off. We always file toward the end of March because my docs from Canada don’t get here until around then. Canada has until April 30 to file so everything from them comes late.
Anyway, we stopped at Menards and picked up some new light fixtures for the outside now that the new siding is going up.
It’s cloudy and windy, went up to a whopping 38 degrees but the wind is about 30, so it’s cold. No fire tonight I guess. 😒

You sayin there are more cretins there?

while this isn't a "what are you doing right now" time, but a 2 days ago at a home track meet i'll post what happened (probable more for the "daffy zone", but here it goes.

after the meet was over the taller twin was talking with the enemy (someone from another town) chatting it up. his siblings along with his parents were making fun of him (he couldn't hear us). this girl was nearly as tall as him (6'1" or 6'2") and later found out she was 5'11". the family harassed him all night about the "girl" 🤣 . earlier in the day while he was talking to her a coach came up to them and said, "love can wait, i need to talk to you". the girl laughed about the coach's comment. apparently 1 of the other team members were injured and the coach wanted him to run either the 110m of the 800m (which he usually does). he opted for the 110 and a race he never competed in. he came in 4th along with 2 other 4th places. another track meet he only got participation awards🤣 as we tell him. the other twin has been the only 1 consistently medaling every meet. he's a distance runner and got 2nd in the 3200 run and just missed out by maybe 10 yards for 1st.

Just finished having "garage beers" with the husband and our neighbor from across the street. Too damn cold to stand outside, so into our heated garage we go...
I think we solved many of the world's problems, and then some. It's always fun to see how our conversations go sideways, and then into total hilarity. It's much more fun in front of a fire but, well...yeah, freezing one's ass off takes the fun out of solving world problems. ;)

nice. There is one other place, at least that I have found, which also is often used to solve world problems. Italian sports bars. ;)

The Cat Whisperer and I were invited to my youngest daughter's new house for dinner last night. After a great meal of king crab legs and shrimp, we came home for some TV and put food out on the porch for our outside cats. Sometimes we get various strays who show up to share the bounty. This morning we got a stray that we had not seen before. It has a big appetite and poor table manners. Our regular cats are giving it a wide berth.

22 day, first up was the H&K416. liked to never got it sighted in. finally got it hitting center. was shooting two different brands of ammo and it was threatening rain. so some of em i rushed a bit. all shot at 3 yards against a tree. 😁 Bottom left one was with a suppressor. a dead air mask, they fflew around a bit and i couldn't tell any noise reduction so i took it off. finally got it chewing out the center on the belly circle target

Next up was the SA 2020, now to be fair i didn't get to shoot it much cause the rain was getting heavier. i rushed a bunch on shooting it too. after seeing all those bad reviews about accuracy i was a little worried. gun will make one ragged hole if i shot it right. but rushed big time and had two different brands of ammo.

Also my brass catcher was too high and i had to pull the gun up to eject it and re position the gun. now the trigger on this thing is awesome. somebody mentioned replacing it, it don't need replacing. you couldn't buy a trigger any lighter or crisper. The ergonomics was great too. not even a tad bit of recoil, which a 22 don't have much anyway but this one has none. I like it.

The head shots is where i got it hitting center and then rushed a few the ones with the red dot was with the dead air mask, again no noticeable noise reduction and killed the accuracy so i took it off. i laid about 5 shots in that one hole and it started raining harder so i quit.

Got to the match today and a cowboy gunsmith brought my hammered double he had lightened the hammers, so I used that. Now I can cock it with one thumb. Brought my short stroked Vaqueros in .38. It's sometimes a mystery how they're gonna shoot with various bullets and powder. I hadn't shot those in maybe a year. Fun, beautiful day, mid-70's. I didn't run the timer, so my hip held up better. Stopped at Chili's for lunch and home now with a tall tequila drink. I think I'll switch the press to .45 Schofield tomorrow.
