Went across the street for a fast shoot. only took two guns. first up was the Henry survival. i put all that stuff together on my tailgate and thought. man i be survivin. it would not work with some old federal ammo i had. but worked perfect with winchester stuff. i shot 4 eight round mags and said that's enough. the recoil is killing me. as usual, 3 yards leaning against a tree.

Next i whipped outta my pants..err nevermind. next was the pistol. the Sig 320x5. in all fairness i did have to take a whizz after the henry. now the first target was really bad, i didn't even take a pic. the sights needed moving some and it was shady and i couldn't see that blacked out sight. this gun will have a dot or new rear sight on it soon. i did like that it was fully adjustable but i couldn't see it anyway.lol

Finally got it close and it was jumping around like a toad frog gettin away from a owl. i thought hey man, this is a 320. don't need to pull the trigger. so i started banging it on the table and with some practice i was doin purty good. dern thing weighs a ton but had more recoil than i thought it would. wonder if that bangin on the table would mess a dot up? Hmmmm, maybe just get a hi vis rear sight. shot three 21 round mags and called it a day.

Just finished abandoning a 85’ coated steel gas service that was installed in 1959 and installing a new 1” plastic service and moving the meter from the basement to the outside.

laughing cause of a male cat that always takes a long journey and never know if he'll ever come back and not knowing if he's dead ? my wife (Mrs. TFL, TRL to some) was walking to the front door when she saw this cat meowing and scratching on the glass storm door. she thought it was 1 of the usuals, but couldn't realize it was "a cat's journey home" (snowball the usual gone for a long-time family member). we want to put a go-pro on him to film hos journey and a gps collar to get his location for a movie. problem is it needs to download every night via satellite and recharge via solar. i said, "he probable came back from ca as it wasn't his style"!
