What are you doing right now??

Lying in bed hoping for my hip will stop hurting long enough that I can get to sleep.
I stood up from a lawn chair in the backyard and it felt like I was hit in the hip with an electric shock.

That was a week ago Wednesday.
Been there and done that on and off for more than 18 years ... ! Starts in my lower back, to my butt/hip and then feels like a hot, electric coil in my right thigh, often as not right on down my right leg to my foot/toe. I've got a bunch of steel screws and bars at L3/L4, L4/L5, with one steel disc replace insert and a bone graft fusion at L5/S1. And to top that 3 screws all the way through the mortise joint in my right ankle and into another plate. Yep, a 3 level fusion with lots of arthritis these days.

I don't think it ever actually goes away, but with time you do find ways to live with it. And you'll learn what you can/can't do without causing more pain. Luck friend!

Have you tried a Thundershirt? A dog trainer friend swears by them.
I have tried everything! Nothing seems to work for her, even medications. She is just a sweet dog and I have had her since 8 weeks old. She wasn't like this when she was younger. As she got older this started. She is 7 years old now. I truly feel bad for her but at least she wakes me up when it happens at night. I try to comfort her as best as I can.

well...my morning is ruined.

i got up my normal time of 4 AM, had breakfast, got my self cleaned up, put the range bag in trunk, walked around my car, and saw a flat tire.

i can see a screw in it......i still marked the area, in case it falls out on my way to the tire store.

aired up the tire just now, and have to wait till 7:15 to get to the tire store for 8AM.

wife and i had lots of shopping and errands to do when i got back from the club about 7....

all dashed now, god only knows the time waiting for the repair job.

new tires too...me and @NMEDGE bought tires about the same week too if i recall...and this now makes flat # 2......and back then, i had to wait nearly 3 hours for the repair......today being a saturday........i can be there till monday...i hope they have a cot or fold away bed.

funny, my old set of tires...??

NO FLATS in the 2.5 or so years, and 30,000 + miles of driving........

I saw a dog with earmuffs on last weekend. The owner said they allowed the dog to be around gunfire. I doubt our dog would wear them, but maybe yours would.
I equipped Rylee with MuttMuffs when doing gun training. She went skeet shooting with me every week. MuttMuffs were developed by a guy who flew a small aircraft with his dog to protect his hearing. Here is Rylee modeling the muffs.

This past week was one of the most brutal at work in weeks, and we’re told it won’t get any better until after the holidays…so I haven’t been much good for anything after hours. That being said, I only have about 10 weeks left and then I can turn in my badge and NOT let the door hit me in the ass on my way out the door 😁.

We’re heading up north again. The husband has some things he wants to fix up before the opener next weekend. My rifle is sighted, but he needs to make sure his is. This is the medicine I need to wipe the week off me. It is so peaceful up there. We are starting to think about moving up there eventually, especially if things go sideways.
