they still use something to "break'em up......mine were broken up by some sort of shock wave(?) i had a few broken up some months ago...however, depending on the make up of the stones, like mine, they disintegrated the doctor said and most likely came out like sand..so i never felt anything....those were measured at or slightly over 10mm


years ago, YES, a much different make up of the stones, they were broken up, and YES, jagged pieces came out, but very little feelings of them passing.

i had posted some time ago, several that i passed, almost the size of a pencil eraser, oh i felt them passing, but the stones were "sorta rounded" and didn't hurt one bit....

Laser lithotripsy

    • A small, flexible tube is inserted through the urethra and into the bladder to locate the stone
    • This procedure can be used if you're on blood thinners or pregnant
If the stone can't pass naturally, a surgeon may perform another procedure, such as inserting a stent or performing ureteroscopy or percutaneous nephrolithotomy.

We had a metal chimney cover at our last house over the bedroom fireplace. We had a regular woodpecker that would sit up there and bang away at the metal in the morning. No sleep ins there. I learned that males do that as a mating behavior to attract females. Horny woodpeckers can be a nuisance.

Just got off the phone with my cousin who lives in Burlington, Ontario. We talked for over an hour, and I hate talking on the phone...just sayin. We haven't been in touch for decades and he reached out on Friday. Anyway, he told me stories about the walkabouts his dad (my uncle) used to go on before he passed. He had dementia, and he would walk for miles to a little bar just to hear the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) bagpipe band practice. Well, it did my heart good to talk with him.
I have cowboy beans in the slow cooker and now I am going to game a little while I have some time.

It is good to share memories of those who have gone before. I only regret not getting more of the oral history from the oldsters when I was young.
