What are you doing right now??

Insomnia won. Coffee, watching The Longest Day, again, for the umpteenth time. Hard to believe that movie is 62 years old.

sipping my second cup of a new to me coffee, Folgers Breakfast Blend.

i am surprised, it's quite good.

problem however, is that most likely, i will be wired for sound and will not have a nap this afternoon.

before this, i replaced the cabin air filters in my car and the wife's car.

the stealership usually does that, but they charge like a gazilion dollars for a 12" x 12" paper filter.

so after swearing like Jasmine Crockett, on my hurtful knee, and not being able to get up, i did the next car....

i think Jasmin Crockett would be proud of my foul mouth, twice this morning.

back in my earlier years of vehicle ownerships, and a former mechanic, we didn't need no stinking cabin air filter(s)

i think it's a conspiracy for the stealerships and parts stores to clean our pockets.........

politicians they be maybe..??????

I am working on what will be my next place to live. I like the options on a quanset hut and which can disappear into the landscape in almost any surroundings. Inside has the ability to house anything and walls do not have to go to ceiling. There are 2 other options I am working on which is railroad cars and cargo containers. I may not get there but my son and daughter are intrigued with my ideas.

good used cargo containers are all the rage in some parts of the country. here, some are turned into office spaces being either stacked up, or side by side.

but the cost of the container, trucking to the location, and remodeling to code can be expensive as well.

here where i live, we have the old Naval Air and shipyard base........Quonset Point, where they were designed and built

very simple structure indeed, and efficient.

might actually be cheaper than a cargo container, as it'll most likely be shipped in kit form

Where were Quonset huts invented?

Quonset Hut | Washington State Department of Archaeology ...

Rhode Island

Simple to manufacture and easy to assemble, the Quonset Hut is an easily recognizable architectural form. The building was designed in 1941 by a team of engineers at Quonset Point Naval Air Station in Rhode Island, hence the name.

Well, not being able to make it to the district track meet today I found out just a moment ago the twin (Daniel) won the 3200run. Competitors range from 12-18 runners. (could be more depending on how many towns are in our district). His twin (Taylor) didn't have as good of outcome in the discus or shotput (4th & 6th place). They go back tomorrow for more track events as today was all field w/some running events. Daniel will run the 1600 tomorrow and Taylor will do the 800run as he's an alternate in the 800m & 1600m relays. He hasn't run the 300h as of yet today. Post his result later .
