Nope, don't have no high dollar stuff. The name sounds like Scandinavian prostitutes. :ROFLMAO:
American. Grant's Pass Oregon. Founder died in a car accident in 2013, but the company survives. Well regarded. Lots of military contracts. Not nearly as high dollar as a bunch of the other stuff you own, but as far as ARs go, they're pricy. Like $700 for a matched set of receivers. Rifles are in the 3k range.

Oh i won't deny they are probably a fine rifle, i got turned off on Noveski, Daniel Defense and LWRC from three websites i frequented often. I was even a moderator on one. Every time someone would start a thread about any other rifle the AR snobs would pile on. and some of the excuses they gave these members was completely asinine and ignorant.

I quickly learned not to ever mention i have the cheap crap. lol I do not ever go to those sites ever now. don't even know if they are still around. i'm sure Arf.com is but the other two i don't know. the one i moderated on had a head administrator that was a complete asshat. the owner was a really nice guy but he put this bonehead in charge and he run off more members that i could count by ridiculing them for the type of AR they owned. then a few others would jump on the bandwagon trying to impress the 2nd in command.

We didn't get along cause i said what was going through my head and pretty much told him a few times he was an idiot. anyway i seen the owner wasn't getting rid of this goober so i quit. probably made the guys day. i did leave peacefully. i really wanted to tell him what i thought of his snobbish attitude but cooler heads prevailed and i let it go.

Truth known, i can't say is if i ever seen a Noveski rifle or LWRC. i have handled a couple DD and one had more slop between the halves than a cheaper DPMS model. it was new too. If the LGS hands me a rifle and the two halves don't match up tight. i give it back. that's a pet peeve of mine.

Ok i done rambled way too long. it done took a while to type all this with my two finger typing. but i won't make fun of anyones AR choice and you guys don't either, that's why i like this place. now we kid each other about different guns but it's all in fun.

But i long for the day when Hi point makes an AR. 😁

I've told this story here before, including on or close to the day I joined. I had been on a few gun forums and had never had an AR. Never even was interested in an AR. But then my lovely wife tells me one day " You know you ought to buy an AR before they make them illegal". So I start asking around and everyone is telling me this and telling me that and some guys were telling me just to build one. Well I didn't know anything at all about them and wasn't confident enough to build one so for $800 I bought an Adams Arms Voodoo Innovations Witch Doctor. This gun regularly sells for about $400 these days by the way. Of course the first thing I do is start reading all about it and taking it apart and changing grips and stocks and optics and all the you know. So in discussions with people on the internet it became apparent that I was a fudd and my rifle was a piece of crap. Thousands of rounds and never an issue and the gun has been modded with all the important parts, but you know, it's not a DD ( DD doesn't impress me either brother, I have handled a few) or a Larue ( I got a buddy with a Larue and it's a damn nice gun).

So yeah, I know exactly what you mean about AR snobs. In the end I never bought another off the shelf AR. I have put a few together with BCA stuff and never had any issues with any of them. A few with Anderson lowers and various uppers. And more recently I built a Wilson Combat Ranger which is a very nice gun. Some for other people. Jumped in head first you could say. I am definitely not a gun snob. And all my low end ARs run like scalded dogs and are pretty accurate. At this point though I don't see myself building any more low end ARs. Aero, BCM, Noveske, Wilson. I don't actually need any more ARs but I really enjoy putting them together.

One of my m16 has a bit of play between the halves, it doesn't affect the accuracy. no telling how many rounds it has through it. i have put a lot through it. i know it don't hurt the function of one, just a pet peeve of mine.
I never paid any attention to it nor do I think it really matters. That said, if I'm using tier 1 components, which I likely will be from here on out, I will definitely be insistent on it.

Agree about some sites with certain brand snobs, not just AR related. Well, whatever. If a person's items meet their needs, budget and preferences - who cares? That shows up so often in our society - boasting about my XYZ is sooo much better than yours. Happens with motorcycles, autos, boats, houses, watches, guns, clothes etc. Petty people and shallow. You aren't missing anything by avoiding them. JMO
