What the heck happened?

I had to leave the forum for just a couple hours and when I came back I wanted to catch up on the discussion in the thread about the CP officer dying after being hit in the head during the rioting and infiltrating of the capital building .............. but I couldn't find any trace of it. What am I missing or what did I miss?

I guess I can assume it may have been shut down for any more posts, but did it just up and disappear completely?

It didn't get too heated it but it may have been heading in that direction for some folks.

I don't recall anyone calling out a political party and most of the discussion was on the capitol breech with some members getting passionate about which group to blame.

I apologise to you Joe as I did participate in some of the conversation but I feel I kept a pretty respectful tone in my posts though the overall conversation may have violated the forum rules.

Anni started doing shadow puppets and no one could take it any longer, so they killed the thread.

Hey buddy, you don't owe me any apology. The threads are to be posted in regardless of who starts it, and if you, I, or any of us get a little out of line, I would expect the mods to let us know. Then it's up to us to either correct whatever the issue is or expect the consequences.

Apparently while I was away 'counting my money', it got a litttle out of hand and they had to do something. I was just surprised it was deleted. Actually there was a couple conversations going on when I had to leave that I was looking forward to catching up on ............ but alas! It was all gone. :confused::confused::oops::(:unsure:😞😢😢

From what I've seen over the time I've been here the mods are doing a hell of a good job. I don't think I've seen anyone actually offended by any of them....... although maybe a couple 'sincerely' warned !!! But that's OK, even necessary if we want to maintain a decent forum.

I was owner and mod on a pretty busy Yahoo Group for many years and know what they (mods) are faced with every day. It's a thankless position, but a very worthwhile one ..... primarily for us.

You've got to be kidding ...... he can't even make a 'shadow'. Haven't you seen all the 'holidays' in his body? ;):)(y)

It's like looking through a ?, ?, ah, uh, metal skeleton!!!! I've seen better forms from a pile of 'pick up sticks' and even an 'underwire' bra ...... know what I mean?

Even the few threads here which end up in political debate are by and large civil. I'll comment on them if something crosses my mind, but I'm perfectly fine with no political stuff too. Given the current state of US politics and the fact that we are all pro 2A gun guys, even the more liberal guys, politics is bound to come up.
 
The general political discussions don't bother me, and are pretty much a given these days (years?). What gets everyone roused-up (imo), are the one(s) who intentionally keep egging things on, which I suspect is purely for their personal entertainment. Eventually, discussions are shutdown.

I figure we should enjoy this site while it lasts, because once the outside "sources" get things going, sites such as this, and others like it, will be squashed. Look at how people (POTUS, etc) are already being stifled/banned. Again, just my opinion, but "big brother" is soon to become bigger, meaner, and intent on total control. My two cents worth.
