I didn’t remove that thread but yeah that’s likely what happened. We are tightening up the Mod’ing a little when stuff gets headed down hill also. With the volume we see it’s just more efficient to delete the thread than one comment only to have to go back 30 min later for another and another. Deleting anything takes work on the back end, beyond hitting a button, that y’all don’t see.

Yeet is a verb meaning to throw as hard as you can at the sake of accuracy. Started with basketball 3-pointer; shoot and turn around cause it’s gonna go in. Moved into teenager land and became more about throwing than anything. They say it with practically any random throw now. Then Hi-Point had a naming contest where Yeet Canon was running away with the vote. They choose to go with “YC-9” instead for the second round of voting and then removed it too. The internet lost its collective mind. Hence the Yeet Canon 9mm Hi-Point came into being. Appeasing the horde.
It was truly hilarious and I am proud to say I was part of the trolling effort.
After the whole Boaty McBoatface fiasco the guys at high point we’re deliriously clueless or the most brilliant marketers in a decade.

As i am the mod that took action in regards to the thread in question. Yes this was mostly the reason it was removed. I have sense undeleted the thread but left it locked and not allowing further conversation. Please allow me to explain why we are taking actions like we did. As most founding members will remember earlier in the year before/when AWK was born we had to shut down The Lounge for 72 hours. It took Okie, xdman, Louis, Mike and myself almost that entire time to clean up the lounge that got wildly out of control. we had several great members take their leave over some of the conversations that were happening in there. 90% of those conversations were political. The staff all had a meeting and agreed that the only politics we would allow is 2A related politics generously allowing for conversations to take their natural course. Ultimately this forum does belong to Springfield and we have to consider their image in running it. i hope you all understand why we did that then and why we are so strict on those topics now and moving forward. As always if anyone ever has any questions the staff always welcome you to ask us we have nothing to hide here and we want everyone to have a voice and share their knowledge.

Appreciate the explanation. As I am sure others belong to many boards, I personally keep coming back here because there is no screen muscle I am better and smarter than you banter. The mods here are great, and the Camaraderie is great. Let’s not lose that.

Good call. I imagine the politically charged posts will slow down and die off now that the whole election mess is juts a few days from being over and the forum will organically get back to what it was originally about: talking about our shared hobbies.
