What the heck happened?

Even the few threads here which end up in political debate are by and large civil. I'll comment on them if something crosses my mind, but I'm perfectly fine with no political stuff too. Given the current state of US politics and the fact that we are all pro 2A gun guys, even the more liberal guys, politics is bound to come up.

We all contribute, stay, and quite frankly watch this site frequently (sad when I am starting to recall many of you on here). What is great is we are all willing to help others in a collegial way that is not a pissing match, and we talk about a topic everyone enjoys. New or old to firearms, either way we all have that common ground. Even if it is a love of hi point....

No one loves Hi-point. :)

We're all adults here (most of us anyway) and should be able to cuss/discuss politics without the thread going in the toilet. All it takes is to realize those on both sides are as convinced as the other side that they are in the right. It's not at all likely that anyone here will ever convince the other side to change their mind and/or opinion, but it could be enlightening to learn just why some of us feel/think the way we do. And a little civility can go a long way in all of us maybe learning to get along a little better with those whom we disagree.

Jus' sayin'. :):):)(y)

Most of y'all here know I'm older than dirt, and it should be pretty obvious my computer skills leave a lot to be desired, so ............................ Somebody got to tell me just what the hell is a "yeet cannon"?

Hi-Point is the most maligned handgun ever made, yet it is probably also one of the most dependable. The YEET CANON is a special edition of their pistols. $199.00 MSRP.

Just an aside here but ............ even today, almost without fail anytime the wife and I go to "Cracker Barrel" for dinner, we don't leave without me buying a pack or two of either "Blackjack" or "Teaberry", and sometimes "Clove" chewing gum. And almost as often I'll grab a pack of the little wax Coke bottles with the sugar water to sip on on the way home. If I've really got a sweet tooth that day I'll even pick up a box of "Goo Goo Clusters" as well. And the very first phone # my family ever had was GArden-5400, around 1955 as I recall. If you were telling someone your number you'd say it like 'G A' 5400. Three short rings and we knew that call was for us. Any other combination of short/long rings was intended for somebody else on the party line. That was on a party line of 5 or 6 other 'users'..... well, we were called 'customers' back then.

I wore "PF Flyers" to school and used up more jars of "Butch Wax" than should be allowed by law. Mama or daddy would adjust our little 8" round screen, black/white TV with the 'test pattern' every night when regular programming ended about 9:pm, then again the next morning with that same test pattern about 6:am when the TV came back on with local "Farm News" and weather.

The very first 'high fallutin' set of matching table glasses we ever owned were bought with 'S&H Green' stamps ...... and we were proud of them since before that we had mismatched sets of 'Mason' jars. Well, all the jars actually matched, it's just that some of them had handles and some didn't. You always hoped for one with a handle because without central air conditioning in the house, the jars of iced tea would sweat so bad the outside of the jars would get really wet and slippery. If you dropped it and spilled out the iced tea, you'd have to finish your supper drinking water cause there just wouldn't be any more tea. Come to think of it the same holds true for the very first set of matching plates and saucers we had ....... they were gotten with either "S&H Green" stamps, or maybe it was "Top Value" brand stamps, not real sure.

Oh yeh, I can remember 4 or more on that list, and I really didn't write it. But I very well could have !!!! ;) (y):):):)
