Where do I connect a Sling

I am new to the forum. Also a new Springfield Saint Ar 15 with a 9.6 barrel owner. I haven't had the chance to shoot it yet, but the question I have is where do I connect a 1 point or 2 point sling?

Get an mloc for your handguard or 1 for the pic rail. Handguard would be the best place! There is also a loop attachment with a quick release for the brace. You can also put 1 on the handguard and the brace for 2 point.

Look on Primary Arms (Magpul) or Midway USA.

Single point on the handguard would point the barrel up= not so good! There are end plate quick attach also(button style).

There are also HK style (hook) attach.

Can I put a QD End Plate on it? For a 1 point sling? It looks like there is one there, but there is no hole to attach a sling to it. Do I remove this and replace with a QD End Plate? And being this is a pistol, would it be considered modifying?

Yes remove that 1 and put 1 on with the quick attach hole in it. No, it's not modifying!

Then I would use a 2 point sling. Nothing wrong with a single point sling necessarily, just that the weapon kinda hangs in the way. I use these on my weapons, but there are several really good ones out there; https://magpul.com/catalog/product/...-sling-gen-2/category/52/?mp_global_color=118

I don't like UT, Houston, Rice, SMU, TCU or Baylor! I tolerate TT and A&M for the most!

With the 2nd option you are able too make it single and 2 point!

Hmm that isn't a lot of available space. Texas is probably correct.

Being a pistol the shortcomings of a single point sling probably will be mitigated somewhat.

The long slots on the bottom are your mloc attach places!
