Eh...I think kvetching about grip angle is a lot of failing to display adaptability.

My wrist can flex, and is adaptable; I’ve shot everything from broomhandle Mausers to Glocks...I make ‘em work.

A shooter—a good shooter—should be able to pick up any pistol in proper working order and hit the target.

Proper grip, proper sight alignment, proper trigger press...works with any pistol.

You just have to remember on a Glock to adjust sight picture due to the angle. After 4-5 rounds of muscle memory and WTF on missed targets I remember I’m holding a glock to adjust

See, I don’t get that—if the sights are properly aligned (and assuming the sights are correct)...you should hit the target.

Grip angle comes more into play when you aren’t using the sights, and point shooting.

Nah, it's not like we're doing battlefield pickups. I was stating it from a civilian point of view, with gun ownership in mind.

Maybe the question should be from a gun ownership put of view.

I prefer the 1911 angle. Can I pick up a Glock, immediately realize the natural point of aim is different, and compensate? Yes. But my guns are all 18°ish grips. I also shoot almost exclusively for self defense, because poors. Maybe if I can finally start expanding my collection to more range queens, that’ll change.
