Who Cares About Pistol Grip Angle?

And there’s nothing wrong with that. So many people are so tied to the brand wars. There’s plenty of people (including my gf) who like the 365 better than the Hellcat. Cool, more power to you. Find the gun that fits you not the other way around.
Heck, I carry a Kahr sometimes. And to many people don't even give them a chance. They"re great pistols!. Big name doesn't always = 🤪best product.

Where I notice grip angle most is when I take several pistols to the range and I shoot five rounds each, other than that not a biggie. however, the first time I held and shot a 1911 i was all "I love this gun!" I think grip angle and the relatively narrow width of the grip make a 1911 the gun for me.

Don't actually own a 1911. Probably never will. Great pistols for sure, just not for me.

I love 1911s. I just don't carry them much anymore. I'm really not all that picky about pistols. I've never been a trigger snob or worried too much about sights. The only gun I've ever shot that I just flat didn't care for was every single Glock I ever held in my hands. I just don't like the way they fit in my hands.

I tend to decide how much I like a gun based on the entire package, especially when considering the gun's intended use. I focus less on grip angle than I do on the trigger, sights, and felt recoil. Things like overall size and concealability are also factors that I put above grip angle when selecting a carry gun. I know that triggers and sights can be switched, but I generally prefer to leave my guns as close to stock as possible. I am not likely to purchase a gun if I have to make a bunch of changes to it to make it shootable. I'm not saying grip angle isn't important, but it's something I am willing to overlook if I like other features.
