Who Carries Old Guns?

I'm asking because I'm considering going with a 3rd Gen Smith 6906

I owned a 6906 for several years. In some ways I regret selling it.

BUT I inadvertently engaged the safety during a class while I was trying to do a TRB drill.

Then I broke the firings pin spring, (normal wear and tear) and found out that the part was difficult to find and expensive.

I suspect that magazines will also become difficult to find so I switched to a Glock.

I keep my old HiPower and Combat Commander handy, as well as my old Python. However I mostly carry a Glock 19g5 or a Glock 21 g3. Often I'll just have a model 36 S&W .38sp in my pocket, being retired and all...🤠 All are bone-stock, except the Glock 21 which has tritiums.

I thought you were suppose to strop them sharp - not throw the razor away. I've been using the same razor I was given at age 13 and sharpen it as needed. It also has other uses  TSA wants them in checked luggage however.
If you’ve been just stropping it since you were 13 my hats off to you I guess. I send mine to a guy every so often and have them honed properly. $25 well spent.

does our 1967 colt 1911 count as old
we are the 1st owners after the gun shop
he had it for literally decades before i sauntered in all foaming at the mouth over another 1911 in black chrome
yes it was or is a commemorative, but it shoots sooooooo nice
