Who Carries Old Guns?

How long it stays there depends on where you are and the circumstances surrounding the incident.

At any rate it’s not like I’m going to purposely carry something I don’t like or care about. If it happens, eh, I got plenty more.
I once represented a DUI client. Small town Alabama arrest.
He EDC’d a Colt King Cobra. Kept it under the seat in the truck he was pulled over in.

This was before the days when body cams and dash cams were in use.

Between the tow truck and the arresting cops, the KC was never found.

Yeah, any time I have ever wrecked a truck or for any reason had one impounded, when I got to it all my shite had mysteriously disappeared.

There's the OP's literal question , what the OP was probably intending to ask , and the question many assumed he was asking .

No , Yes , Yes

I have too many suitable guns , to have carried one specific one 15yrs exclusively. But just about all of them would have been considered " Old " .

I never thought about "old" guns as possible carry guns, old to me would be 20+ years ago and unless it was a world war or military survivor or my birth year made gun, i would consider most handguns a carry gun for me.

Last year , my gun compadres were putting forth to the effect of " If you don't have something fairly " modern " , still in production , with aftermarket support , you are neither well rounded , nor able to part knowledge & skills " .

Didn't really agree with that , but did make me somewhat self conscious . So upon a minor occasion to celebrate something , bought a G22 Gen4 . Albeit a 2014 production , that had spent 10 years in an ill fitting security holster , but hey , the Gen 4 were still officially in production then .
