All cleaners are pretty much the same.
All lubes are pretty much the same.
If you want a combo, Breakfree CLP is probably the way to go.
As far as how often? Some people insist that they must clean after every range session, while others have no problems cleaning every 100, 200, 500 or more rounds.
Thanks HG. CLP seems like the way to go. Though if I wanted to go the cleaner and lubricant separately are there any you recommend?
Slip Carbon Cutter for cleaning & Slip 2000 for lube.
I went 5,000 rds with my 5.25 Competition in 2 seasons IPSC shooting as a stress test and it kept running. Finally cleaned it when I decided I'd seen enough.
Love to hear it survived this type of test. I’ve only put it through about 100 rounds in 3 separate sessions. I definitely plan to clean it before the next session, but good to know it will take a lot of rounds and keep on firingSlip Carbon Cutter for cleaning & Slip 2000 for lube.

Okie’s gun cleaning routine.....well......maybe ear cleaning routineWhen I buy a new edc I run it till it acts up or I get tired of it spitting carbon on me, usually around 1k for strikers, before I’ll carry it. I cleaned my current XDM Compact around 1200 and the rails were almost pristine. Once I started cleaning it every range trip, I started seeing the usual wear. I’m not saying don’t clean your guns but carbon buildup makes a great buffer between metals
