XDMAN's Echelon stuff

I use and practice both.
15+ yards, a RDS is nice
Below 15 yards, open sights are pretty quick and easy to eliminate a target.
7yrds or less, its point and shoot.
I agree. A good thing about training for acquisition with a red dot is that by default your iron sights are always going to be close enough to work inside that 15 yard area, long as your presentation is correct.

I perfer to buy a handgun with an optic cut whether I plan on using a red dot or not. I don't have to use a red dot if I don't want to, but I'll still have that option in the future if I ever change my mind.

Most micro red dots for single stacks and micro 9mm's (Hellcat, P365, etc) are under one ounce. The Holosuns, Trijicons RMRs, and the like for double stacks are around one ounce. I doubt anyone who was blindfolded and had a red dot and non red dot pistol put in their holster could tell the difference.

As far as bulk goes, I personally haven't found it any harder to conceal or any printing when conceal carrying an optic on a pistol.

The only annoyance is that dust deodorant particles, oils, etc build up on and around the glass that has to be cleaned regularly. It's a little more maintenance vs other pistols without the optic.

I was just looking at the G20 Gen 5 MOS 10mm yesterday... I think I like it. Of course I walked out with an AR10, but thinking about the Glock.
After a month of screwing around between getting an OR slide, the #2 HK plate and a Holosun 507C, the final piece falls into place tonight. HK packaged all the plates Omaha Outdoors had in stock incorrectly. I’ve had the plate for a month but never bothered to open the package and look because I didn’t have the optic yet. When I opened it to install last weekend I found it was the wrong plate. Omaha had to order all new inventory from their vendor. My plate is supposed to be delivered today.

When should we expect the obligatory pics? 😁
