Ran the swamp cooler last night instead of bedroom ac, got pretty dang chilly. Maybe fall is here now. Set steel for the match tomorrow. I loaded about 400 .45 Colt rounds before leaving. Got horse racing on TV, a nap sounds pretty good about now.
My latest 1911 purchase was a used stainless Range Officer in .45. I haven't shot it on paper, but I have shot it in multiple matches and it shoots RN and wadcutters equally well.
This is our Rosie, purebred YorkiePoo/Blue Heeler and all of 25 lbs. or so. She's clipped fairly short now, but will let it grow. We weren't going to get another dog after our lab made it 17 years, but at my age, a smaller dog is easier to pick up.
My primers finally came yesterday.
Switched over the Dillon to .45 ACP and ran a bit over 100 rounds. Case checked all. Loaded with new jug of 231.
Gauge checked maybe another 100 rounds for next time.
If you don't have comfy footwear, it's time to start looking. Good ones make you forget you're on your feet, the bad ones make you wish you never went to work.
I view the .25 acp as an anemic cartridge that is best left in the past. There are other rounds that are better and guns that fit them are plentiful and everywhere. You own what you want, I wouldn't dare suggest it for SD.
Just ordered 3K bullets. Took some crap wood to the dump, trimmed a tree in the back yard and trimmed our dog. I wanted to watch some football, but they put reruns under the Live banner and you don't know if they're truly live or not. It would be nice not to have to look up games online before...
I got a a quote that will save me about $1K between home and auto insurance. Yea!
Gonna grill some brats for dinner and get ready for the football game. Don't really care about either team, but it's the start of the new season.
