Big Storm A Comin'

We are getting a big blow tonight in the Florida Panhandle and surrounding area. They are telling us 70-80 mph winds around 0500 Tuesday. Y'all be careful out there.
Schools closed tomorrow. Cold air and warm moist air colliding. Spent the morning picking up stuff in the yard that will go flying. This is an unusual storm event for us.
weird we had the 45 mph wind thing last night and part of this morning with lots of RAIN..
its gone now ...guess it headed your way, your welcome. hunker down

Hi,

Forecast 3"-12" snow starting tonight through tomorrow late PM in southern WI...I wish I could that "accurate" in my job and still keep it.

So far, I'm a little underwhelmed at our current "severe winter weather alert". Maybe that's a good thing. Still, it's supposed to snow every day this week then it will turn cold over the weekend. Monday's high is forecast to be -1°. Stay safe everyone.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

It began raining here in the Athens, GA area a little after 9pm last night, as of 11:30am today we have received a little more than 6 inches, and it's still raining.

How about now?

Snow started dumping out near Madison about noon today. Got 4" over last 2 hours and piling up fast.

That snow you are getting reaches South to St L. , MO. and a finger that goes all the way down to Branson , MO.

So far all we are getting is rain . Current weather is 44 degrees but feels like 34 degrees with 16 MPH winds. supposed to snow a little bit later tonight.

Yep, it's been coming down pretty good all day, getting some good accumulation. But it's not the fun, fluffy snow. It's the heavy, wet, slushy snow. It's really going to be a mess when temps go sub-zero later in the week. I went to Blain's today and picked up some sidewalk salt. I don't want to slip on the driveway again. ;)

Nice visual as I sit here with short sleeve shirt and bare feet relaxing.
