Conceal Carry Reciprocity

" If you are from a state that allows constitutional carry, it is unlawful to carry in another state without a CCW."

Not accurate. Unless that other state doesn't have constitutional carry.

Bassbob --I semi apologize for stating what was semi incorrect. I had received this information from someone in law enforcement when NC was working towards constitutional carry. "Idaho, North Dakota, and Wyoming limit Constitutional Carry to residents only. This is a highly controversial and dubious distinction. It is likely to be challenged under the equal protection clause of the U.S. Constitution, the Fourteenth Amendment". At the time I received my information NC would have also limited constitutional carry to residence. Its a mute point now in NC.

I truly think Cc permits should be treated Exactly the same as a driver’s license. If you’ve got a valid one it should be good everywhere in the USA as long as you follow the law of the state you are in. (I’m not getting into the whole constitutional carry issue, that’s a discussion for another time and place). As it is the places where I’m most likely to actually NEED a firearm are the same places where m not allowed to have one. That’s just wrong.

While my state, MT has Constitutional Carry I still get a CC permit since it, in my state, allows me to bypass the Federal check process when purchasing.

My permit covers the majority of states that I may travel to/in except for a couple of PNW coastal states.
