Do You Even Plink Bro......

I’ll add—I have a habit I picked up long ago—whenever I go into a gun store, particularly if it’s one I frequent often—I always buy something...spare mag, etc...to make up for probably fondling a few guns while I was in...also makes them more likely to deal—they know I’m spending money with them.

I can always use ammo, and often if there’s nothing else I need, I’ll buy a 100 or so rounds of .22. I’ve got 4-5 .50 cal cans full of various loose boxes...
Lol......I pretty much do the same thing when I go into a gun store I never leave empty handed.

Heck...last fall, I was out in Montana visiting the in-laws; went by a couple places, just to see how prices differ from what I see locally...ended up in a nice little place, really nice people, that after I said was from out of state & just looking said if there was anything I wanted to look closer at, let them know...ended up buying a couple of out of production HK Benchmade knives from them...hadn’t planned on it, but there you go. Usually in that situation, they’re done with you when it’s pretty obvious you’re not buying a gun.

On the flip side...if I go in a new place and get treated like crap, I won’t spend a dime...because I’m not going back, ever.

Sorry for the derail...

um.

I also like Eley serious target ammo...

What's your favorite ammo to plink with?

I prefer the federal 36gr copper hollow point because I rarely every get a bad primer and they never leave excess lead in my barrels

The Winchester ammo seems to give me a bad primer strike roughly every 50 rounds.

Remington thunderbolt has been the worst in my experience when it comes to lead fouling. I spent roughly 45min picking lead from my SW22 victory one day and I will never use that ammo again because of this.

I like to Hunt, Plink & Shoot this CCI Ammo at 200 yards it has 36.4" of drop and it still deadly at that range .

I prefer Aguila’s Interceptor, at least in handguns.

First, because a .22 hollow point is kinda pointless...it’s almost certainly not going to expand, and if it does...it’ll underpenetrate. No bueno.

Second, the Interceptor’s flat nose is less likely to deflect off bone.

YMMV.
I need to pickup some Aquila to give it a try it's definitely peaked my interest.
