Wonder how old that post is. I've had my P30L for a couple years now I think. :)
Prior to the gun/ammo shortage of 2013, everyone said the last to go would be the 9mm because there was so much of it...WRONG! The last thing on the shelves was .40 cal., guns and ammo. So I began looking around at .40 cal. In 2014, I was in Scheels in Sparks, NV and lo and behold there was a P30L v.1 .40 cal. No pun intended, but I pulled the trigger and purchased it. Great firearm!

I have a .40 Shield Performance Center. It was the first plastic gun I bought. I bought it because I was a 1911 guy and had zero faith in 9mm and at the time the Shield only came in 9mm or .40 cal. When they came out with the .45 I bought one. My thinking has come around since then and that is almost entirely due to my experience with my first 9mm. Which at that time the one I wanted was that hammer fired P30L. I couldn't find one anywhere. So I settled for a VP9, thanks entirely to @HansGruber. I love that gun so much. It's a fantastic shooter and with 17 rounds of HST I can do some serious damage in a hurry with it. Then one day a guy who I can't name but who's initials Are @SimonRL hooked me up with the exact model P30L I wanted and it already had the Grayguns trigger, which is the first thing I would do with that gun, probably before even shooting it. I can't get down with the HK hook trigger. About a month ago I gave the Shield .40 to my older sister since she lives alone. And I made sure another scamdemic ammo shortage wouldn't effect me in any way.

The Final Option (1982) aka Who Dares wins. H&K MP5 (wrong weapon on poster) Have yet to get one.....still on the list. (Angstadt UDP-9 is my "poor man's" MP5)

Kinda cool to see this threat come back from 2021 -

Well in 2023, I got my Turkish MP5s to satisfy this, and many other movie itches -

And while I was at it with the above and below, checked off the Die Hard list as well -

My favorite would have to be the M&P that Samuel L. Jackson wields in the Avengers. Not because it is the greatest gun ever, but rather it was the first time that I remember seeing the gun that I've carried since about 2008 in a movie.
