I like the Pew Pew Tactical site, but I always get the feeling that gun sites/channels/magazines are running out of ideas when they publish yet another "Alternatives to a Glock 19" list. They can try to spice it up by adding things like, "for Concealed Carry/Home Defense/Duty", but its usually 90% identical to previous lists. The Glock 19 is a fine gun, but the number of excellent midsize pistols on the market has been growing for years. I think most experienced shooters could list 5-10 solid competitors off the top of their heads.

I own Glocks and carried them on duty for decades. They are great firearms, but at this point in time I would have trouble finding anything that would make the shooting hobby more boring than being an exclusively "Glock Guy" who refuses to own or shoot anything else.

True, I like Glocks a lot, but I to like XD’s, Sig, and the new 2.0 S&W’s, I shoot them all, but in the end, I’m still a Glock guy……ssshhhhhh

The Sig Sauer P938 is a great option for a small, lightweight pistol that packs a punch. It's perfect for concealed carry and has various features that make it a great choice for self-defense.

But it’s not exactly a doublestack, now, is it…which it kinda needs to be to be considered similar to a Glock 19.

If you want to stick with G17/19 parts compatibility the PSA Dagger is a pretty good option, the price is really good & options are fantastic. Plus, you can build your own version by buying the different slide configurations (sights, threaded barrels & finishes) & frame colors separately.

Review:

Glock seems to be stuck in the mud when it comes to "real" upgrades/innovations vs. minor tweaks and then calling it a new Gen.

My .02
