I'm not a gun guy. I'm not a collector, I'm not an accumulator and I'm really not looking for the next new best thing.
There was a time in my life when I thought the Third Generation Smith and Wesson was the Apex of handgun technology. To make a long story short I got a chance to do some training and I began to see some flaws in the design. The biggest being the manual safety.
I sold off all but one of my third generation Smith & Wesson and I bought an M&P 9. Compatibility between handguns is a major requirement for me. I bought an M&P9C (first generation, the one they call the subcompact now) but I never really liked the way it fit my hand.
Well I was doing my research on the M&P a really couldn't get around the fact that the Glock 19 filled both niches. So I sold the 9C and I bought one. A year later I bought a Glock26 and it turned out to be everything that I wanted thr 9C to be.
I said all that to say that those two handguns meet all the requirements that I have for a handgun. So I quit looking for the next great thing.
