good day at the range

if i get this renwal (anything can go wrong), it'll be my last time.

the age thing is most certainly here for me, and right now, all i have to do is qualify and then write a letter as to how i will keep the gun safe, while i am carrying it.

i'm tempted to write this...."i shall keep my firearm safe, as i hold it up in the air, with my finger on the trigger, as to not be a threat to anyone".

in some cities here, one must have a mental eval exam as well..!!!!!!!

i sicken and tire of the BS that we have a right to carry, as it is a "Shall issue" state, yet they make it so stupidly asinine to get the permit.

here is one (if the file/document opens) from 1 city here, scroll down to the psycho eval forms....

not my city, my renewal and even 1st time permit is easier......

I promise not to shoot anyone who doesn't deserve it. There, I fixed it for you.

well...not a good day at the range

in fact, it sucked coconuts thru a paper straw

took my CZ 97 B (45 ACP) and 100 rounds of my earlier reloads (from the beginning of 2023, lead bullets)

some fired, some did not chamber.....

like WTF...??

only got to shoot 20 rounds.

packed up and left.

CZ's absolutely DO NOt LIKE reloaded ammo

whether i bought them from the mom/pop store or not.

yet...ALL my other guns eat my reloads like no tomorrow..???

got home, measured the OAL.....measured "same as" factory ammo

BUT, when i went to "plunk" test in the Lyman go-no go gauge..??

many would go in, but not slide out....this was "hit or miss"

ok, now i know.......

i just wasn't putting much of a taper crimp on the earlier rounds

so i'll run the final 200 rounds of the lead reloaded ammo, thru the crimping die again

after that run, i'll be into the red "lipstick" ammo, that has not been an issue at all.

i'm going to take 50 rounds of the "red" ammo wednesday morning, and run them thru that CZ, as the crimp IS a whole lot more.

if anything at all, i never claimed to be an expert....at reloading

but only, an expert in LEARNING from my mistakes.

Glad you didn’t get a squib. Or one stuck in the chamber.

Which I have and which is why I never shoot reloads in semi auto handguns.
oh, in the past, i have had at least 4? squibbs, out of like 8,000 rounds i have so far reloaded..

that was if i recall, in the earlier stages of reloading

i shoot one at a time, not rapid fire, unless it is factory ammo.

i bought and carry in my range bag this.....
