My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I like the JIT a lot. Technically its belt slide type holster, but it completely covers a 2" J-frame with only the very tip of the barrel sticking out. Being an Avenger style design, it pulls the butt in close to the body. I've been very happy with it.Grayfox
How do you like that JIT. Been using an old Don Hume first agent for a J frame with no trouble but thinking of going with the JIT for a bit more retention. Okay I just like the looks. I have heard it is a little bulky, the first agent most certainly is not.
Gee thanks, I had just about talked myself into NOT buying one. I need another J frame holster like I need an extra hole in my head. Now.....My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I love wheel guns and my favorite was my 41 mag with 3in barrel It was my off duty carry when I was a Deputy Sheriff. The load was 215gr semi wad cutter. Currently I carry my 45lc double action when my busted up hands give me trouble. There is something about a wheel gun
Practical - Simplicity - great for the professional and the civilian
I come to this site to learn.
QUESTIONS:
For the J FRAME FANs:
For the LCR FANS
For the TAURUS FANS
1) why did you chose your revolver-?
2) how to you EDC-?
3) what would you or not change change-?
4) your next revolver purchase-?
THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE A POSITIVE THREAD:
For this Old Dawg
1) Because I was brought up a Snubby and it is a CQC tool - I could only afford a Taurus 605 357 Poly
2) it is my always firearm - cross draw OWB or IWB - when it was my BUG, pocket strong side.
3) change the trigger - not change the reliability factor
4) LCRx in either 38 or 22LR
How about you-?
Thank you

You couldn’t be more right papa I have the same set on my 640 world of differenceI have a model 36 nickle that I bought used because I had always wanted one. I have a model 642 PC that I got from my ex-wife. She wanted it and I told her she wasn't going to like it and why , because the weight or lack there of. she shot it and decided it wasn't for her. So I offered her a decent price and now have it.
As for the recoil on the 642 PC , or any other J-frame , I bought a set of Pachmayr Diamond Pro grips. Made big difference . So much so that I bought a second set for the 36. Link below.

I bet that was a beast to shoot. My 41 started life as a 4in and with 1985 factory ammo was a handful. Now with an 8-3/8in barrel, different grips and a scope it is fun to shoot even with hot loads.I love wheel guns and my favorite was my 41 mag with 3in barrel It was my off duty carry when I was a Deputy Sheriff. Revolvers are great. I lean towards large frame S&W's even though the one most carried is a security six. I should get myself another 686 or jump deeper into the 10mm river and get a 4in 610I bet that was a beast to shoot. My 41 started life as a 4in and with 1985 factory ammo was a handful. My service weapon was a model 19 with 4in barrel. As I said my off duty was a 41 of with I had 2. The 215 load was a comfortable load a long with being fast and accurate. I'm not sure how my broken up hands now days would agree with them. I do carry now days once in awhile is my 45lc which I can handle. When I was reloading I always loaded 10 percent less than max load and my weapon and me was very happy with that rule. In my 45acp I like 200gr and have used that combination for years.I bet that was a beast to shoot. My 41 started life as a 4in and with 1985 factory ammo was a handful. The .41 175gr Winchester Silvertip is pretty respectable, clocking in close to 1300, but isn’t bad at all out of my snub 657. In my 7.5” 657, it’s a pu$$ycat load.My service weapon was a model 19 with 4in barrel. As I said my off duty was a 41 of with I had 2.
