My choice in a mimitary rifke design, The M1 Carbine

Those start at $2400....And aren't they refurbished? Not that a refurbished rifle is bad....but for $2400+ you can get a WW2 relic with matching parts. I know, apples and oranges....
Yep you are correct they are not cheap , some people prefer not to shoot the WWII versions. They are not for everyone when you can buy an AR for less than half. I just prefer them. I was actually surprised to find they weigh less than an M4.

I’ve got one by Auto Ordnance. Bought it 5-6 yrs ago, it’s still NIB…I thought it’d tickle my dad to have it at the farm.
Had bought a surplus one off a friend ~25 yrs ago but it turned out to be junk and unbelievably inaccurate ( wish I’d kept it though).
The A/O one looks beautiful with the terrific walnut… but alas, dad had lost interest as he aged and arthritis got worse. Still has the farm but down to one older horse for my stepmom and no more cattle as of 2yrs ago. He still keeps his old pump 12ga handy 😉
Guess I need to take the carbine to the range. Or sell it (I paid about $650 for it, I think the AP’s are over a grand now…)

No, the Fulton’s are full new builds.

You can send yours to them to be refurbed, though.

And the new Fulton are tack drivers; they build very accurate rifles (1”@50yds guaranteed). Very few surplus carbines will do that (my RockOla does about 3”@50yds, and is considered pretty accurate).
