practice practice and more practice

does that make people like us.....(those that can't afford to take classes)....a "people with out class"....????

cuz if so, i need to sell my sterling silver tea set, my Victorian furniture, and my gold leaf throne, and scepter..........
No. That said, class is not for everyone at any rate.

And I can afford classes, just not as many as some people. At the same time some of those people shave with disposable Bic razors. So which one of us has class ? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I never took a class in my life, don't know why. they are probably fun. I just like shooting on my own or with maybe a couple others. A whole room full of strangers with guns ain't for me. i see all those holes in the ceilings and walls at those indoor ranges. some idiot had to put them there.

I've never taken a class on an indoor or public range. I went a lot of years in my life never even giving a thought to taking a class. I knew how to shoot right ? When I took my first class I realized a whole lot of shite I didn't know or never thought about. And yeah, if it's the right class it is a lot of fun.

I wanted to get teh Ronin when it came out. I ended up getting a Kimber Custom II two tone instead because I found it first and it looks nearly identical. My best shooting gun I own, shoots better than I do
I also do a lot of practice with a 22 because of cost. But, if you really want to go that route, I would suggest picking up a 1911 in 22 as a 1911 shoots so much differently than a striker fired gun. I have the ATI/GSG and I love that thing. It can be a bit finicky, but when it's clean and has good ammo it shoots amazingly. And it's like 90% similar to a regular 1911
I was looking at kimbers and found the Ronin at a good price first,,,,,,, as for the M&P I am using it because it is what I have and it weighs about 17 ounces loaded,,,,, it is my current summer carry, it hides well under a T-shirt

There are a lot of great shooters on this forum. Probably a vast majority of y’all are great shooters.

I personally challenge myself to know why I cant do something are learn to fix it. Whether its billiards, soccer or carpentry, its all about technique
I can’t seem to get that soccer ball in the right corner pocket using a hammer no matter how hard I try!

The 64 million dollar question…what’s the right class?

The 64 million dollar question…what’s the right class?

Well, diligent research is an option. Referrals from friends or trusted people such as LEO. On-line reviews, etc. The only way to know if you'll like it or learn from it is to take a class. If it's not a quality experience, rinse and repeat.

I generally recommend avoiding classes given by gun stores or their employees. You'll probably pay more and the guy giving the class was trying to sell some dude a Turkish shotgun 2 hours earlier. :ROFLMAO:

Ha ahhahahaha!
All the comments on losing the; what I call, feel of the gun and the eye for the target 🎯 !
You never loose it really! Even after years of not exercising it!
Seriously,
My plinking career started in earnest when I was 14, with an old Ruger standard auto 9shot!
But sure, as a kid growing up in Arkansas, I had shot a few different shotguns and rifles as soon as 9 years old!
Got my first deer with a Krag 30-40 at 10!
Grandparents had 100 acre farm in southeast Ark, and there was a deer 🦌 camp every 10 miles in the surrounding county!
But back to losing the eye 👁!
At 14 my parents moved out of state for better jobs, and left me with the Grands to finish my school year! The Ruger was a swap arranged to calm me from the loss of my horse, in the move!

In 1966, you could buy a brick of 22Lr for less than 5 bucks!
Well Sirs, let me tell ya, I cut grass for a buck a yard and almost bought Howard’s out of stock in 22lr that year!
Wonderfully also that year I had only one Trainer for pistol instruction! My Mothers brother, who at the time was an MP on Okinawa!, and a small arms instructor for his unit!
He was on leave and showed me a thing or two about pistol craft!
He taught me two things, 1. don’t point till ready to shoot, and 2. Point and snap shoot!
Let your eye and the point do the thinking, not your brain worrying about the sight alignment!
Yep! burned much ammo till I got the Eye 👁 for it, but then and now, I don’t need two hands, and don’t aim at anything less than 25 feet and don’t miss my targets!
If ya want to snipe, use a good rifle!
If ya want to win a gunfight! Learn to snapshoot your pistol!
And just shoot one pistol and one ammo!
In each caliber you like! So that the eye 👁 will stay fresh and you won’t need to think!
Hope this wasn’t too long! Or Boring!
If you have doubts, try the eye!
Be prepared for misses! And $ for the ammo!
In the end your accuracy will astound you, and a few friends!
Good luck 🍀 and don’t sweat it, it’s all small stuff!
72 and counting!
A shift Kamikaze

I manage right reasonable hits believe me.

Some of us lowly service workers can't afford to take classes every week and have to improvise, adapt and overcome. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
