Shotguns VS. PCCs for home defense

Love the A300 Ultima, but I read that the magazine support is prone to loosening, opinion?
If I was looking for a shotgun in that class/price range, I would definitely go for the Mossberg 940 Pro.

I haven't spent time behind the A300 Ultima, but the fact you can't change the stock is a deal breaker for me.

I find the foregrip ideal yet I am a lanky guy (long arms) therefore the stock is a bit short for my build. Leaves my elbows wider than I would like when on go mode.

Which gun are you referring to, the A300 ?

Do you shoot with a bladed stance ?

All this talk of PCC's has made me want one. I am a soon to be 71 year old man with some various health issues. Arm strength is not enough for a shotgun. That's why I am thinking about a PCC. This would be a plinking gun with home defense thrown in. It would need to be somewhat lighter. I had considered the Ruger PCC, but after many many reviews saying how heavy it is, I do to want to risk it. Do you guys have suggestions for me? I'd like to keep it below $1000. It needs to be fairly easy to rack also.

Thanks,
Joe

You can build a lightweight 9mm AR for well under that.

Fur easy racking, I’d look at a front or side charger over traditional.

Or an M1 carbine.
