What are you doing right now??

We only have garbage pickup once a week, just one garbage can. It used to get pretty full until I got myself a 55-gallon barrel. Now we burn all the junk mail, paper and cardboard. The garbage can for pickup is now only half to three quarters filled every week. But I live out in the country, so I can have a burn barrel.
I wish we could have a burn barrel, and a rain barrel. The “city” doesn’t allow them. Another reason to move further rural.

Watching my daughter mow my lawn for me. I hate that I still can't take care of things like this yet because of my recent knee surgery. She is pretty good at mowing with my zero turn. My son is coming out over the weekend to take care of all the weed eating. I'm hoping the next time the lawn needs mowing, I'll be able to do it myself. I'm planning on hitting the range next week, assuming I can be mobile enough by then.

It is good to have children to help out. God love them.

Slow and steady wins the race, friend.

Well, I do pay them for their time and effort! lol They've been a huge help along with my mother-in-law about helping out around here. They've been taking turns driving me to physical therapy, 3 times a week. After this weekend I should be able to drive myself around and mow my own lawn. I actually enjoy doing my lawn, even though it's usually a two-day job to get it done right.

Was looking at photos of days gone by. Ever heard of an old theme park called "Dog Patch" in Arkansas ? It was modeled after the old cartoon strip Li'l Abner. Stumbled across this picture of me and my sisters from many years ago at that park. If you look close I have a cast on my arm. Proof that I have been doing stupid things for many years LOL. brought a smile to this old face for sure.

Looks like y'all were having fun.

Coffee. When it gets a little lighter out I'm going down to my daughter's house. Got the drywall last night, sprayed for mold and when it's dry we'll start putting the new drywall up. With any luck they'll be back in by tomorrow night. Her 3 dogs and little kitty mean my two cats have been stuck in my bedroom since Wednesday night.

Enjoying my coffee, trying to figure out who could install the delete kit I recently got for my truck. Because of my recent knee surgery, I'm in no shape to install it. And of course, no exhaust shop will do it for me. Just wondering who I know who might be mechanically inclined enough to do the install here in my driveway. My truck has been parked for over three weeks since I still can't physically climb into it to drive it! lol

well...no legit shop..

but "backyard/shade tree" mechanics will do it.

anyone in your area, someone else knows who can..??

back in my earlier days, i used to install cat converter replacement pipes.

that was simple, and cars passed the state emissions test easily, especially when my shop was an inspection station..!!

the whole state run inspection system was a frigging joke, just to get federal monies.

It's not a hard install, but it will be a month or more before I'm physically able to crawl under the truck to do it. Just going through my mind about who I know mechanically inclined enough to do the job.
